Is Your Mac Ready?
Be prepared for the Lion, Mac OS X 10.7, launch check a few things on your Mac first.
Processor
Your Mac must have an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor. This includes most new Macs purchased after November of 2006.

Snow Leopard
In order to download Lion you must have Snow Leopard installed. If you have 10.5.8 or older you will need to purchase Snow Leopard before upgrading to Lion.

Memory
Lion requires at least 2GB of memory. We recommend 4GB of memory for best performance and many new Macs will support 8GB or more of memory.

Check Your Mac
Find out if your Mac has Snow Leopard, what processor is inside and how much memory is installed before Lion is released. Click on the Apple icon in the top left of your screen and chooseAbout this Mac. This window will show your Mac’s operating system, processor and memory. If your Mac doesn’t meet the requirements above we can help upgrade your Mac so it’s ready for Lion.
